Meet Elder Karel Williams

Guiding our community with inspiration, wisdom and purpose in a spirit of excellence.

Leadership and Character

Elder Karel Williams is a man committed to living what he believes. His journey has taken him through classrooms, boardrooms, churches, and diverse cultures, shaping a perspective rooted in both faith and practical experience. In every space, he has learned that integrity matters more than image and consistency matters more than applause. His faith is not reserved for ministry moments — it is the foundation that guides how he leads, serves, and lives each day.

As a teacher and preacher, Elder Williams shares the Scriptures with clarity and sincerity, not from a place of having arrived, but from a posture of continual growth. He values excellence, but never apart from humility, generosity, and genuine care for people.

At his core, he is committed to steady growth, faithful service, and loving others well. He encourages higher standards — not through pressure or perfectionism, but through example — calling people toward lives marked by integrity, discipline, purpose, and maturity. His desire is simple: to honor God, encourage & inspire others, strengthen families, contribute meaningfully to community, and pursue a life that reflects continual growth and better living.

In Elder Williams own words, “I study the Scriptures not simply to know more—but to live differently.” For me, studying the Word has never been about collecting verses or sounding informed. It’s about alignment. It’s about allowing Scripture to confront me, correct me, and shape how I lead, how I love, and how I respond under pressure. There have been seasons where knowledge was easy—but obedience and humility required surrender. That’s where real growth happened.

Watch & Be Moved

Finish Strong!

The message centers on the necessity of spiritual endurance and the "good fight" required to remain faithful to God until the very end. Using Ephesians 6:10 and 2 Timothy 4:6–8, Elder Williams emphasizes that the Christian life is not a playground, but a battleground that requires divine strength and a commitment to "finishing well."

Key Themes

1. The Identity of the "New Man" (Ephesians 4-6)

Elder Williams breaks the Book of Ephesians into two halves:

  • The Gospel Story (Chapters 1-3): How Jesus created a diverse, unified community of believers.

  • The Gospel Lifestyle (Chapters 4-6): How the Gospel shapes our identity. Believers are called to "take off the old man" (lying, anger, selfishness) and "put on the new man" (truth, forgiveness, humility, and gratitude).

2. The Reality of the Fight

The sermon highlights that following Christ instantly signs a person up for a fight.

  • Not Carnal, but Spiritual: The battle is not against "flesh and blood" (people), but against spiritual forces of evil and "wicked schemes" that try to undermine unity and faith.

  • The Source of Strength: We are commanded to be strong in the Lord’s power, which Elder Williams describes as the same "resurrection power" that created the heavens and raised Christ from the dead.

3. What Makes a Fight "Good"?

Elder Williams acknowledges that most fights are negative (born of pride or ego), but the "Good Fight of Faith" is different because it is fought for things that matter:

  • Fighting to Believe: Trusting God even when circumstances look bleak.

  • Fighting the Flesh: Resisting ungodly desires, trauma, and the "lures" of the world.

  • Fighting the Will: Choosing God’s will over personal comfort and pride.

4. Finishing the Race

Drawing from Paul’s final words in 2 Timothy, the sermon reminds the congregation that "it’s not enough to start the Christian race... our goal must be to finish well."

  • The Treasure of Faith: Paul "kept the faith" by protecting it as a priceless treasure, despite suffering and imprisonment.

The Final Admonition

To finish strong, believers must put down "physical and carnal weapons" like violence, revenge, grudges, unforgiveness, gossip and envy, and instead take up the Whole Armor of God (Salvation, Truth, Righteousness, Faith, Peace and the Word), sustained by the most important weapons: Prayer, Humility, & Love.
